Are you staying? They showed on the news that everyone is heading to Tunica to gamble and are heading to Memphis. I live in NE MS so we will probably just get some wind and rain but nothing as bad as the coast. I heard on the news they said that the folks that stay too long won't get any help if they change their minds and call for assistance. Just be safe!!!

My mom just barely got in to Pensacola yesterday afternoon. Grandma's having foot surgury this month and my moms gonna take care of her.

Should be ok, my grandma's house is built within the last 10 years, and is close to the neighbors in a nice upscale neighborhood.

Well, this ain't going to be another Frances. it's going to be worse, could even come ashore as a Cat 4. And they're BAD :( Frances came ashore as a high Cat 2, by comparison. Tell 'em to stay safe, man. I'd leave, but I understand the situation there. I wish your mom and grandma good luck, BonneMeMN, and Godspeed :)

We made it...the bonneville is safe and so is like everything in the block..Ivan was a joke for us in Biloxi/diberville area....we got 200 + winds but no damage...lol..we were lucky...went for a ride to scope out the damage..one mailbox and a fence were all in our neighborhood...i just hope Alabama did just as good.

Glad to hear it, man :) Let's hope this Jean doesn't try anything funny. We've had enough hurricanes for one year, Wouldn't you say?

SSE14U24ME 09-16-2004 05:58 PM

I am glad it went to the east but at the same time I hate to see it be anywhere at all. We've just had light rain and very little wind. No claims at work- Yay!! It has been nice and quiet.

OMG, I just got quoted, didn't I? I DID! WOOHOO! Screw the $50 bucks I got from my rich aunt and uncle, that's the best birthday present anyone has ever given me, Don  Well, with the exception of the money my mom is giving me for that Aurora, of course
