Default 144 in the GTO Last Night

Havent hit the governer yet at 158, but I'm getting closer

One of my best friends is a New York State Trooper and was on duty last night as I was driving through his post, so I stopped and talked to him for an hour or so. We decided to go to McDonalds to get some food, however we realized it was 10:50 PM, and we were about 20 minues away from mcdonalds. He just said "Stay behind me and try to keep up, if ya can" jokingly saying that my GTO cant keep up with his crown vic (Hes a HUGE Ford fan). Anyways, he got a quicker start than me since I had to wait for a car coming before pulling out, but I hit 144 at my peak, lowered to about 120 once I got behind him, and stayed there for about 4-5 minutes back to town.

To make a long story short.. We made it to McDonalds in about 5 min, and those 2 for $1 Apple Pies sure are good

So Chris, I take it you never got that Tahoo or Yukon or whatever it was that you wanted at one time.

Glad you like the GTO. I've been keeping an eye on them. I'm still waiting to see the Judge and newer versions of it before I try to get one.

PS: I wish I had cop friends like that. I'd keep him busy all day long doing that stuff!

Hey man, havent talked to you in a while! Your probably talking about the 02 Yukon Denali. Yea, decided with already having the wrangler and everything that I needed something more fun. The '05'* GTO'* are going to be bad ***, BUT there are many good reasons why I got the '04.. Read my last post here:

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=25149

Yea, having a couple of Trooper friends who are into cars is def a plus. My one good friend (the one I was following last night) has a '03 Mustang Cobra with some Serious mods. Had it Dyno'd at 479 horsepower at the wheels, so we are figuring about 550 at the crank. I was riding with him doing well over 165 on the Thruway (I-90) a coulpe weeks ago on our way back from the track, its crazy. He was running high 11'*, I'll have to pull out the video tape to get the exact times..

I'm in the process of becoming a Trooper myself, so within the next year or so we'll be having the same fun, only it will be NY State'* Trooper Tahoe vs the Trooper Crown Victoria. (me being the GM guy and him the ford of course) hehe
