Is it normal to have withdrawals like this....
I had to take the car in this morning and I'm waiting anxiously for the phone call to tell me that my car is done, the A/C replacement is completed, and I can come get it. I'm very bored, can't go anywhere, and I'm having trouble killing time. I feel like I'm accomplishing nothing, lmao.
Help! lol

Normal?!?!?!?!?!?
I'm going on week 7 with no car ..... and I'm a BASKETCASE!
Not that I wasn't before.....
But just remember -- it could always be worse!
PS: If you find yourself detailing your dishwasher and fridge..... then you can start to worry. Cause I know someone who has done that very thing....

lol I hear ya! The reason it'* so nerve-racking is cause the guy that'* fixing it told me yesterday that it'd probably take 4 hours, which will give him enough time in case he gets overloaded with other cars (it'* a relatively small shop), but when I dropped it off this morning, I asked if he had even a time estimate on when it might be done, and his words were more along the lines of "hopefully today" I'm like wtf... lol

Yeah I hate that too. I hate "probably" and "estimate". As a programmer, I always give a definite delivery date/time..... but I also pad it out as a CYA. That way you look great if you get done "Early", and still look good if you met the original expectations.
Plus you have to do it, because people typically expect you to get something done in half the time it actually takes.
I've passed most of the last seven weeks (during breaks from programming) studying the forum... found lots of solutions to problems I'm going to have. Also I looked for threads with drama. Didn't find any, except it looks like there was a tif with a vendor at one point. Handled professionally despite the guys (apparent) attempts to make it ugly..... that'* when I began to realize what a great place this is.

We went through the same thing last night with The Missus'* van. She called me just after lunch time saying it died (again) and that it was at the shop. Turns out it was just the idler pulley. She finally gave up at about 8 PM and called to see the status. "Sure, it'* done and ready any time you wanna come get it"....

lol I'm hopin that'* what it is with this place too. It'* kind of a small shop owned and operated by a middle-eastern family. Real nice, but they get SO MUCH business in there all the time that I'd be surprised if they ever made any calls aside from ordering parts lol

1) Pulled the fridge out and scrubbed the floor
2) Cleaned the condensor coils
3) Ran the kick plate through the dishwasher
But all joking aside... if you guys havn't cleaned your coils in awhile, especially if you have a pet - (and I know this is the one forum where this goes without saying).... get em cleaned out. Mine are on the bottom of the fridge, and I had to tape a bottle brush to a dowel rod to get in between 'em.... but boy what a difference in performance. It kicks on about half as much now.
Edit - unplug it first, or you might end up sticking whatever you use to clean them into the condensor fan, resulting in a rather bad sound and possible bent fan blades.
Not that I did that.
Also .... be gentle and go slow, less'n you want a new fridge.
