How do I get a Temp. Tag when purchasing out of state car?

That is how I love doing it and how I always did it in the past with my Trans Am and First Z28..but thats only because they were both within 2 states away and we had my dad'* pickup and a Car trailer. We also did that when we bought his 69 Camaro in St Louis, and when we bought his 70 Chevelle in Canada just north of NY. Lots of fun memories doing that.
In order to do it now it would require me to
1. Get a Pickup capable of towing 5000 (car and trailer)
2. Find a trailer
3. Driving from Florida to Pennsylvania
4. Driving from Pennsylvania to Florida
It would be fun, but much more of a headache then getting a temp tag unfortunately.

Yes, it is a state by state thing. Not sure about PA, butdon't believe the part about "Brotherly Love" I think that died with Ben Franklin.... Gov, Rendell reset our thinking to "Show me the Money State" hehehe.

Haha, ya that would be fun.
I am excited to drive the car home though, as it will be good bonding time for us to get to know eachother
I spoke with the owner today and he said he spoke to one of his friends that is a Notary, and that PA does have temp. plates that are good for 30 days that cost $10 (plus $30 notary charge). So sounds like it shouldn't be an issue to get one when I am up there. All he said I will need is my Drivers license and insurance card and I should be all set.
Booked my flight today and just got in from getting my car all ready to take to the dealer tomorrow evening to put her on the lot and sell her! The car is SPOTLESS..I almost want to keep it for a while to enjoy how clean it is lol. I cleaned the dust out of every crack/seam in the dash/seats, air vents etc.. cleaned and conditioned the leather, steam cleaned the floor mats, washed and gave a quick coat of Zaino and cleaned all my belongings out so she is all set for a new home! Whoever ends up buying the car is getting one hell of a nice car, thats for sure.

Glad you have it worked out, didn't think it would be a big deal with your license and notarized title in hand. Always hard to part with a nice car that'* at the top of it'* game. Does it have a forum decal on it???
