My mother left me for christmas eve with nothing but a few presents and 2 pizzas. I'm spending christmas....alone. very first time i've ever done this. I'm empty, full of sadness and tears. Wanting some type of love while i open presents from my family in iceland. I'm alone and deeply saddened by my mother leaving me for her boyfriend. my dad is stuck in iceland, and gave me a call crying. telling me how bad he felt for me. how much he wished he was here. it made me sad just thinking about opening presents alone in that living room.

I ask for you with children, please. be there for them this christmas. Do the best for your child. give him/her a hug, a warm welcome, even a kiss goodnight. I'm not getting that this year. i love you guys here at the forum and i wish you a merry christmas.

I know the feeling growing up with my mom gone from before I woke up until after I was already in bed. Just remember if you have kids to make sure to give them the time they deserve. Its the little things like getting to talk to your dad that you have to be thankful for this time of year.

Hang in there Ben. I understand your sadness and wish I could be there to provide you with some measure of fulfillment and happiness.

Hey Ben sorry about whats going on but i know how it feels...only it wasnt just on christmas it was pretty much everyday...when i was your age my mom was a hardcore drug fanatic so i was left home alone pretty much 24/7 she did work but never really came home was always out partying so to speak..but just remember you have your forum family here were not going anywheres..and like kevin said be glad you got to speak with your dad..and appreciatte the little things hell i never got presents or even food from my mom lol but its just another day in your long life and another thing that will make you stronger...Merry Christmas buddy..ey maybe if you watch home alone it will cheer you up...it sure did me

I totally understand how it feels little man !!

If I were closer I would open my home to you, Just so you didn't have to be alone at this time of year !!
but remember .... Use this as a learning tool !! And Learn from the mistakes that your parents have both made and do not make the same one'* !

Thats what I did !! I am a Better parent then either of mine ever were !!!


On a side note, Do we not have someone in Ben'* area that he can hang out with ??

I just read this out loud to my girlfriend.... And started Balling !! Ben if there was something I could do I would!

i got lots of people around here. just nobody home. i will take your words and use it later in my life

Sorry to hear this happened to you.

I spent a few Thanksgiving and Christmas' away from my Wife and children/ alone. What I did was go to the movies. Sometimes I felt better by just doing something.
