Default my new motorized bicycle

hey all. ive been playing with a new bike i got at goodwill the past few hours. i took the engine off an old bike that i put so many miles on with that engine, i killed the wheel bearings. ive gotta admit, its an ugly color for a bike, but for $30 i couldn't pass up a bran new bike. all thats left is the chain. tomorrow ill be off to a motorcycle shop. i need about 8 more links of #40 chain.

im pretty happy with it. plus, with 2" bigger wheels and the same sprocket, it should go slightly faster.

Looks great. You need to put a fatter seat on it. Any issues with license plates? How is the gas mileage?

no reg or title needed in indiana for under 50cc and under 30mph. both of which i fall under.

as for mileage, its only a half gallon tank, and i never fill it because it takes me about a month or so to get rid of the little gas i put in it. the internet claims 80mpg+. given my experience im inclined to believe that. i can go about a 1/4 mile on whats left after i turn off the petcock. lol

bike is all done now. heres some more pics (changed the seat for something more man friendly) and a video. dont ask why she hit pause before my second flyby but she did.

you need a bracket for the exhaust, the exhaust pipe could break off, at least on a motorcycle it would.

I watched the vid, that is totally awesome... of course you have to rember the brakes were meant to stop a vehicle going matbe 10-12 miles per hour and 50lbs less. I would wear a helmet.

well, i took her for her first ride off my block today to go buy some cigarettes.

after getting a better masterlink, mounting a mirror off of one of the scooters i used to have and making the clutch cable a straighter shot so it would be easier to pull. runs great. i was going down a 25mph road not topped out keeping up wiith traffic. so thats a good sign. i also bought a speedo/odo today for $10 at walmart. so i should know exactly how fast it goes tomorrow when i plan on taking it on a good 25 mile ride.

here is the pic from today. all locked up to a stopsign. no keys on something with an engine makes me paranoid.
