BWAH HA HA HA, laugh at the mustang drama queens. Seriously, I'm a ford guy, but almost every mustang guy I know is a drama queen.

Half the posts in that are people saying that HE should get a brand new 2011 mustang because of a dealership mistake.

A bunch are e-thugs saying they would kill the service guy.

A strangely funny number saying that the dealership is legally required to engage the parking brake because, "The owners manual says to engage the parking brake when parking it." Of course they forget to add the part the owners manual says the car should be in 1st gear as well.

Only a few sane ones in the bunch telling him it is his fault for bypassing the clutch safety switch.

The best one was the OP saying he is NEVER buying another ford again because an aftermarket mod he did to the car against the advice of most of that forum, caused his car to roll into a pond when a technician accidentally hit the start button. I have accidentally hit the start button on vehicles with the keys in my pocket.... I wonder if the guy would be shopping Camaros and screaming Ford owes him a brand new car or he will never buy one again if he had accidentally hit the button while it was in his driveway and made it drive through his garage?

Every kit I have ever installed in a car has a starter disable switch that the instruction manual says to engage if you are ever working under the hood, or when you give it to a dealer/mechanic. Who the heck just shorts the wires on their clutch safety switch together so that they can use a remote starter? Why didn't he hook the neutral safety switch wire up to the e-brake?

Remote starts don't belong on manuals anyways. If you are so cool that you have to do the work manually to shift gears, then why be so lazy that you cannot walk out to a car and start it manually?

Also, all the guys saying they would get the video for the news, put it in all the papers, use the fact that he served in the armed forces for more publicity... err sympathy. Mustang guys, Camaro guys, Charger/Challenger guys.... why are they always doucebags? This is one of the things I always liked about the Bonneville. People who love the driving experience buy them. Not people who are just looking to be the cool kid.

LOL!. I really can't believe he hrd a remote installed without the usual failsafes.

LOL. I've been waiting for someone to do this. The remote starts I'm used to have a very specific arming procedure. Press start button, Neutral, e-brake, shut door, lock. If anybody opens the door, or presses unlock it is disarmed in case they bump the shifter.

IMO, It'* his own lameass fault. You take a car somewhere and they expect things to work right, and safeguards to be in place. I say void the lamers warranty and tell him to pound blue sand! And file against him for damages to property.

All of the safety features work on my remote start, plus I have an automatic, but I still tell all mechanics/dealerships that I have a remote start and I disable it before I take the car in.

Hmmmmm......little harsh there guys! We don't know the whole story. Imagine if this was one of us. I feel sorry for him maybe he didn't do everything as he supposed to,but it was his fault for bypassing safties.I believe dealership maybe partly responsible.

When you buy something like a remote starter that has to capacity to cause property damage and possibly even kill somebody, its YOUR responsibility to do it right. Period. Not put the blame off on someone else. Lame *** people shouldn't be putting equipment of this nature in their car.
