Why I drive carefully
This is kinda a remindery thing for all of us since winter means more dangerous roads. Even on dry roads in the summer, though, we have to remember that we aren't the only cars on the roads. Everyone, list at LEAST five reasons why you drive carefully, please!
I drive carefully because I can't afford the speeding ticket
I don't get agressive with people who make a driving mistake because I do the same sometimes.
I drive carefully for the mother in the car behind me with her beloved child in the back.
I drive carefully because I know there'* someone who cares about me.
I drive carefully because the people around me have people who care about them.
I drive carefully so that the police and firefighters can help other people instead of having to fix my mistakes.
I drive carefully because I like my truck and my cars!
And lastly...I drive carefully because I remember when the brakes went out on my Buick a few years ago. I was scared and stuck in suburbia hell during rush hour. There was a young woman in a Honda who let me go in front of her off of an exit. I probably wouldn't have been able to stop in time to avoid hitting her otherwise, and I will always look to her as an example.

Believe it or not, I sometimes drive carefully to **** others off. Like the guy last night that seemed to thing 5 over the limit on a dark, windy, 2 lane park road just easn't fast enough, so he tailgated me for 5 miles.....
<EDIT> I didn't see the "list 5 part", so, um, 4 of what she said.....

I drive carefully because I don't want to get pulled over.
I drive carefully because most of the people on the road deserve that respect.
I drive carefully because you never know what (child, animal, tree) might jump out in front of you.
I drive carefully because I simply cannot afford to repair or be without the GA.
**edit because today I can't count to five*
I drive carefully to prove I'm better then the a** that refuses to have any regard for anyone else.

I drive carefully because:
1. I don't want to be scraped off of the pavement.
2. Gas is too expensive
3. I don't want my insurance rates any higher
4. I like to enjoy the ride rather than hurry to get there*
5. I have family & friends who would miss me if I were gone
Bonus #6. I currently drive carefully because I am driving my mom'* car while mine is in the shop and I am terrified of doing anything to harm her car.
* With all that being said- I do, on occasion, drive like a maniac (when I'm by myself, in my own car and there aren't others around). It is rare but I would be lying if I said I never did it. I most always go 5 mph over the speed limit (weather permitting). When Jeff flipped his car I drove 90 mph to get to him- I was careful but I was quick.

I drive carefully only when I am not driving my Formula
But when in my formula these are the only reasons:
I drive carefully when I am driving through the ATM/Fastfood lane
I drive carefully when there are lots of other cars around me
I drive carefully in a school zone
I drive carefully when it is wet on the roads (Traction is at a minimum)
