MPG gauge?
I'm seriously thinking about getting this:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/...atalogId=10101
I've always envyed the stock MPG gauges I've seen and decided to do some googling.
I wonder how hard it is to set up or if it'* real accurate.

From my knowledge, its based of off engine vacuum. My grandparents had a 1975 E-150 van, it had a "low fuel economy" light, came on under heavy thottle as there was less engine vacuum.

This option was offered in many of the Pontiacs in the 60'*
The trick was keeping the gauge in the green for the best gas mileage. When you drove a GTO, this was not possible!!!

Our chevy blazer had a digital one of those in the information thingy. I personally don't see where it would help at all. So it shows you what you are getting at the time. One the blazer, going downhill it would show 99, uphill and accelerating, 4-8. I would find more use of something that was constantly averaging.
