Default Should I?

Hey guys, I need some advice from the family:

I've had a VERY hard time getting back behind the wheel since my accident on Tuesday. On the one hand, I want to just get back on the horse, but on another.. Both times I've driven, I've damn near hyperventilated every time someone else got near me in a red car.

This weekend I went to look at a 97 SSEi in Pearlescent green or something to that affect (Not Majestic Girlie like I thought it was). It has 65K miles and aside from 2 small scratches on the driver'* side rocker panel that I had to bend down to look at, its in flawless shape. The engine bay has the usual "I'm an idjit need a cleaning" look, and all fluids look good. The owner has kept all the service records and the most troubling thing on the list after 65k miles was a gas tank replacement. There isn't a sign of rust anywhere on the body and the underbody. The tires are goodyears with a good tread pattern and about 90% of tread left. Has the 9 spokes, but I'll deal.

The owner wants $4500 for it.

I just feel like I'm making a mistake. What are your thoughts?

Go for it. Sounds like a beautiful car. It will be hard to readjust, but you can overcome it.

I don't know, those 9 spokes seem like a deal killer to me!

I'd almost be afraid of the low mileage.

Well I made a comment about that in Matt'* thread (whoopsie) but I'll say it again here.

Morty, I know you had a pretty traumatic accident but the best way to get over it is to get back on the horse and go slow.

I say, buy the car before someone gets it BUT you don't have to drive it right way if you're still not comfy, you can simply keep it in the garage (if you have one) and just sit in it for a while then clean it, detail it, tweak it. Then when you think you're finally ready to give the driving a shot, the SSEi will be there for you waiting.

So I say get it or you could buy my car.

Go for it!! If you dont, you will regret it later when you try to buy again. Like Fuel said, if your not ready, let it sit until you are.
