Default Ugh! Bronchitis

Yep. Ive been feeling kinda off since monday, just kinda the sniffles..that sort crap...then I wake up last night at midnight, shivering violently, got dressed, got back into bed, wrapped up, still freezing. So I get into the hot shower, that helps, but it also brings on a nice fever, before you know it i had the water turned more to cold. My teeth were chattering so strongly, i actually chipped a tooth.
I get up at 6:30 am, lay on the couch, call my boss at 730 to tell him I wont be in (frist sick day in over a year) I had my dad drive me to the doctor at 8am, first one there, i get it, tell him ive been coughing up blood all night..my back is in severe pain due to my lungs and the fact that I pulled two muscles last night shivering, doesnt help either.
So Im on Biaxin..20 pills for 10 days. And he also put me on this strong anti-inflamitory only three pills, once a day.
Wow, I feel like ****, I dont think im going into work tomorrow either.

Glad to see you're taking care of it quickly. I had bronchitis about 13 years ago, and thought I could just wait it out (didn't know it was bronchitis). Well, it developed worse and worse. I finally went to the doctor, and it had developed enough that the doctor told me that I would never actually get rid of it.

Sure enough, I have chronic bronchitis now. It flares up at least once a year, usually twice a year. Each time, I have to run and get antibiotics. It really sucks.

I feel your pain.
