Ok heres an oldie for someone to dig up, The car, set in the 50'*, in the movie is owned/ built by two friends and on a journey to reach a racetrack somewhere across the country, and had installed on it one of the first instances of what I would call Nitro. The two guys would race others as they travelled but never made it to the race they were heading for, the car blew the motor iirc. I've only seen this movie once, A LONG TIME AGO.

From one of my all time favorite movies, the yellow 69 or 70 Dodge Charger from "DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY". Definately the most realistic chase movies ever!
The 55 Chev (same exact car as Harrison Fords in American Grafitti) only in black primer from "TWO LANE BLACKTOP".
Also the 73 Trans Am that Jeff Bridges drove in "THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT".
Booker'* 68 Firebird convertable from "21 Jump Street"
I also liked Floyd the barbers 34 Pontiac from the Andy Grifith Show.
Last but not least, Jim Rockfords several 74 through 78 Firebirds used for the "ROCKFORD FILES". I know it'* only a base firebird, but his reverse J-Turns were cool.

Perhaps one of the Macon County movies...."Macon County Line" and "Return To Macon County."

I am a true Pontiac guy....However, I do have a soft spot for what John Travolta drove in "Get Shorty"......Of course, I have the same thing, down to the Dark Teal Metallic paint and gold emblems. A 1995 Oldsmobile Silhouette.
For me - the 1970 Judge in Two Lane.
Buford T.* 1977 LeMans Freeway Enforcer in Smokey And The Bandit
The Snowman'* 1983 Trans Am in Smokey And The Bandit Part 3 - I owned one of the prop cars.

The Fury *I think it was a Fury* from Christine, and also the Charger from that movie.
The Charger from Dukes of Hazzard.
Don Johnson'* Hemi Cuda from Nash Bridges.
And the TTA from Smokey and the Bandit 2. (am I correct in thinking it was a TTA?)
