Stepping Down
Today I am handing in my yellow stars for white retired stars.
This is what is best for me and the forum. Without going into much detail, I have had mounting issues with other staff members. I felt that I had been patient and understanding, while trying to tuck these issues away. The issues I did bring up were never dealt with in a professional, timely, and understanding manner. Recent events forced me to consider if my role as a moderator was worth being subjected to these actions. I decided that it was not and I have voluntarily given up my moderator status under no pressure of other staff or club members.
I know that I have an attitude all my own and for some, if not most, members can sense that. I think anyone that has had to “deal” with me will be relived I cannot rein over you anymore.
I do not plan on becoming retired moderator, but as an active retired moderator. You’ll probably see me here just as much, if not more under my new status. It would take a helluva lot more for me to give up BC altogether. You guys are like family and I hope to continue, from what I believe, is a great relationship with everyone here.
In addition, I hope everyone will support me with this and know this was a VERY gut wrenching decision for me to make. It is really tearing me up inside, but I have to remember it is what’* best for everyone.
Thank You
Sincerely,
John Simons

WOW!?!?!?!?!
Well.....not really sure what to say, John, except, THANKS for your time of service.
I know that being a moderator can be very frustrating and, I am sure at many times be a thankless job, but you have seemed to be an integral part of keeping BC a friendly place to be.
And I am sure you know, you will always have my respect and admiration.

John, I've never had any problems with you personally. Only you know what is best for you. At least you'll still be a member so its not like we are saying goodbye.

Thank God your not leaving! Do what you know is best and we (as a club), will back you up all the way.
Hopefully UM will fill the spot with a Ford Nut. We need at least one on here to razz.
