"LOST"
anybody watch it ? what do you think
I for one am glad to see a new show that is NOT a "reality" show
at first I was thinking how is ABC going to keep a show about
being stranded on an island interesting.as well as not make a joke
out of like Gilligans island.
anyway Im hooked.how about you?

I love that show. I'm generally a j.j. abrams fan (he also created "Alias"). I think that this show is awsome despite its stranger features (polar bear....). I hope it can hold on to good ratings and such, I'd love to see where it goes.

I think ( and my roomate agrees ) LOST quite possibly is the best show currently on TV. I like Scary movies and not knowing what is going to happen next, that sorta thing. This is the exactly what I love to watch. words cant explain how much I love this show
sorry for the rant

Maybe it'* all a big metaphor... see, once they get rescued and return to their regular lives, they will only discover (much to their dismay) that they are still... "Lost"... lol
(Too much coffee this morning... or maybe not enough?)

Speaking of metaphors, I was reading on another forum that some people believe that the "monster" on the island is supposed to just be the embodiment of fear-thats why whats his name (the guy that the last episode centered on) couldn't see it....but then again if he was just lying, that theory is out the door.

I mean, c'mon, in todays world they cant stay lost forever. Whatever flight went down someone would of tracked it and searched around that area. Then again, how long was Gilligans Island on for?

Ahhhh....we must have missed a few episodes, eh? (I'm actually not Canadian)
A few things happened.
Awhile after take off they lost radio communication.
Eventually decided to turn around.
Some how managed to get 1000 miles off course.
The search area would be pretty large. But also keep in mind that today'* technology is pretty darn good and you never hear about planes just disappearing. So they would have to find them eventually.
OR, is that partially where freaky french girls radio transmission comes in. Because that signal has been going for several years it has long sense been disregarded by searchers...as well as the fact that the signal is stronger than any signal our stranded friends could make themselves?
