there'* something called a "Codec pack" out there that installs all the most popular codecs.
But in my experience all you need besides the default ones is DiVx

I know what this is about!
The Bullet'* camera (a couple years old) uses a wierd one. I had a hard time finding it, and don't recall how I did. It'll play on one of my 'puters, but not the other.

It'* not that old. 2004 and it was the high end model $1,500.
