Default 300 M Hemi

Just read the Car & Driver road test on this fat cat.
345 hp & 390 ft-lbs of push.
0-60 in 5.3 sec is as quick as the 6 speed GTO.
1/4 mi in 13.9 @ 102 mph
Damn fast for a 4100 lb car.
Handles like **it though, pulling only .77G
UGLY......looks like a truck but damn powerful.

Strikes me as a real "Flash in the Pan" type car, or a "Flavour of the Month"

I could be wrong, but it reminds me of other Chrysler "hyped" cars, what comes to mind? oh Prowler, and PT Cruiser

Shoulda put a Hemi in the 300M

I like this WAY better then this new truck like thing

Yea, my boss has a PT Cruiser. And it is pretty slow for a small car and its even a manual. Funny thing is he is getting the new Convertible edition with the Turbo next month, but that still only clocks out in the high 7'* for 0-60. Its a cute little car though

Most of those new 300M'* come with the whimpy 3.2 V6. Not many come with the HEMI. The 3.2 V6 has something like only 210 ft. lbs of torque. Pretty pathetic for a 4100lb. car. They are in my mind the ugliest cars ever made, new ones that is. BTW.. can you tell how much I like Chrysler? j/k

Wrong. Looking at a Road & Track Chrysler 300C brochure here and it states the standard engine is a 2.7L 6-cyl with 190 HP and 190 FT LBS.
The 300 Limited engine is a 3.5L 6-cyl with 250 HP and 250 FT LBS
Then you get the top of the line 300 Hemi C 5.7L 4 & 8-cyl 345 HP and 390 FT LBS.

The 300'* with the the 2.7 are supposed to weigh in the neighborhood of 3600-3700 lbs.
The 300 Limited with the 3.5 in the 3900 lbs range.

The top-of-the-line 300 Hemi C with the Hemi will be in the 4100 lb range, give or take a few depending on options.
