I lost any ambition to eat canned spaghetti back when exposed to eating C/Rations. I cant even bring myself to buy a jar of Ragu. Good to know though and thanks for putting up. Also good to know Campbells had the integrity to do this. It wasnt "discovered" out of illness, but when a internal check of their equipment showed a fault and not knowing when it happened. I imagine 15 million Lbs. of spaghetti a tremendous cost, and they did the right thing. Mistakes handled like this shouldn't discourage us from using a Company'* products. It should make us feel secure that company has ethics.

"long term profitability of the company can be assured."
Your quote is no longer important in publiclly traded American corporations. Its all about how much profit can I make this quarter and reward myself now and let someone else be the bagholder in the long term. Russia just put out a statement that they are not looking for short term money to exploit Russia, instead they are looking for long term investors to build factories, etc. When was the last time we looked for investors to go long term and do things like build factories. Makes me want to cry about how short sided Wall Street and Corporate America has become.
Look at a 10 year chart of *&P 500. It lost money from 1999-2009- yet the CEO'* of these firms made on average over 2 million per year with double digit increases in salary and bonuses over these same 10 years.
