Weird Mountain Dew Bottle
My brother got this weird Mountain Dew bottle at a Flying J gas station near Kansas City. He sent one back to me since I'm particularly fond of the Dew and because I've never seen any like this...
Anyone else seen any like this? It has the slogan "It'll tickle yore [sic] innards!" towards the bottom. I think that was a slogan from when it was first introduced back in the 60'*.

Anyway, funny story to go with Mountain Dew. The name is a slang term for moonshine... my mother tells me this story that back in the 60'* when Dew first came out that she and her family went to a restaurant in a semi-rural part of Georgia where she grew up (my grandfather opened the first FM radio station in GA, BTW). Ads for the new soda had been on the radio so my grandfather thought he would try it so he asks the waitress:
Grandpa: Excuse me miss, do you have any Mountain Dew? (referring to soda)
Waitress: Why, NO SIR! We do NOT serve that kind of beverage in this establishment! (referring to moonshine)

Yeah, its aluminum....
So, second question.. .should I open and just drink the silly thing and then keep the bottle or leave it shut and then keep it forever and ever? I know some coke bottles are worth pretty good coin these days if unopened.

im pretty sure that they are making millions of those and they will never have any value other than the novelty. Drink away and enjoy the aluminum bottle! I find that with Budweiser, it tastes best out of those bottles

ebay, you wont get jack...but i would keep it. Tell him to send another one if you want to drink it. I have one of the halo 3 bottles and i drank one and kept the other. it isn't different from the same kind of mountain dew that you get in the plastic bottle so i would see if you could make some money and possibly hand it down to kids, and so forth?
It does look cool and ive never seen that one B4. Good find
