Ah, Pinky, you never cease to amaze me. That car is such a piece, I drove one a while ago. Albiet not in SS form, it was very, very slow, and did not handle very well. If I wanted that engine, I'd get the Solstice GXP, and you know what I swore to do. I guess if it didn't look like a PT knockoff, a car I hate with a passion, I'd at least be impartial to it. Nice find, nonetheless

I would think that it would be supercharged rather than turbo'd. The HHR is on the same platform as the Cobalt, so it would just make more sense for it to be super'd, and carry all the SS underpinnings from the Cobalt. Unless they sourced the turbo from Saab, I am willing to be a few Jacksons....

Caliber SRT will still walk all over it, and look ten times better in doing so

Hell my Maxx looks better than BOTH of those things...but to go back on topic, I did see this special where some custom shops "remixed" HHR'*...one was converted to rear-drive and sported a 454 I think....another actually had a turbo kit installed in the rear of vehicle (where the muffler would be) and layed down some decent power. But I seriously doubt GM will go turbo with it when they aleady have a 2 liter */c they can stuff in there w/ little to no R&D needed.

I'm sorry, but all I see are dumb blonde teenage girls driving those. HHR'* have absoulutly NO appeal to me. Chevy is about 5 years too late when they caught on that the retro PT Cruiser styling look-a-like.
