I'D BUY IT!! I wish I found one here for sale. I actually almost got a 98 for $9000 (SSEi) last summer, but I wasn't offered enough for my trade in, and it had some rust on it.

As long as it drives good, and has no rust, I'd get it.

Always talk them down and make sure they know you sound desperate and when you get them to the lowest tell them you want it detailed and washed and a full tank of gas!!! that is what my dad does everytime he buys a car!!!

You could definetly go lower, but for that price it would have to be in tip top shape.

That will happen a lot. The first car i checked out was only $2800, after a pre-purchase inspection by my mechanic, they found holes rusted through the frame, many problems with cooling systems, fuel system had many problems, and the tranny died on me on the way home.

Found a 95 SE for 2195, the A/C didn't blow cold, and the clearcoat had been messed up. Woulda been $4k after a fresh paintjob, but it was on a weird used car lot that had some very questionable vehichles that were just fixed up.

Then after looking for a couple more they all got sold the day or two before i called or checked them out.

Found a 97 SE for $4k, and drove it, and told the guy i would love to have it inspected and buy it. He said he'd hold onto it...The next day (sunday) when im at work my parents get a call saying the guy sold it for cash.

Finally after a couple more cars i decided to persue this one. It was 47 miles away so i didn't bother the first time, but it was perfect! So we got it inspected the next day, it was good, and we bought it.

Just keep your eyes open, use autotrader, carsoup, whatever and you'll find one you love.
