UGH I Thought I Won $10,002 Yesterday
Ok, So yesterday I went to put some gas in my mom'* Intrepid. I also decided to get 2 Scratch tickets just for the halibut. While the gas is going in I'm scratching this one. theres 2 winning numbers and theres 10 number to match to those 2 numbers. They alos have a AUTO WIN which u get that prize automatically AND theres a WIN ALL prize as well. I was scratching through the numbers and the AUTO WIN came up and I go "holy ****!" BELIEVING that was the WIN ALL prize. So the one where the AUTOWIN was was 2 bucks. Then I scratch the first prize thinking I won all 10 and the first one said $10,000 and I pause a moment. Everything blanks in my head. so I look at the description and I realized that was the AUTOWIN not the WIN ALL. That just broke my heart. It ended up being a $10 winner. Damn!
Oh, I bought 1 more of the same and won $4
Spent $5 total on tickets and won $14.
That $9 promptly went into the gas tank. Giving me about a teaspoon

Lottery tickets are one of the worst investments you can make. Put that money into a high-interest savings account or CD and you'll have your jackpot in a few years
(or the stock market, if you want to be risky...)

A guy at work won $30,000 off a lottery ticket. I actually got to hold it. I was thinking of running away with it, but realized my physique would mean I'd black out from exhaustion after 20 feet. So, I just handed it back to him. He said after taxes it was only about $22,000. He blew it on stupid stuff too - a big part he blew on was he paid off his girlfriend'* car. My first thought was "This man is whipped!"

Of course I did have my lucky days (I remember winning $40 on a $1 ticket)
