Default Possible to re-route a Fedex package?

Already been shipped. Sitting in Portland right now. Is it possible to change the delivery address before it goes out tomorrow morning? Anyone know?

Because I am the recipient, they refuse, and tell me that even if I were the shipper, there is a 24-48 hour delay.
