man my camera sucks azz at taking close up shots... can someone help me out.. i know you can play with settings and it will take better close up shots.. but here.

Use a darker background, your camera is prolly having a hard time autofocusing due to the low light levels and no contrasting colors.

Darkness overall hurts focusing somewhat, also try focusing on a hard line too.
