OK....don't get me wrong here...what happened sucked!! Letting your dog out to run free is nice but did u keep your eye on it when you did so? Unless I lived on a dead end road I could never let my dog out of my sight....u never know what kind of idiot could come wailin' up the road.....I mean to me thats like letting a 2yr old run aroud in the road without supervision  ....JMO. I've seen my share of friends dogs/cats getting hit and it's something I just can't feel bad about sometimes.

Dude...that sucks.
I accidentally hit a dog on the way to school once...did all I can to avoid it. It was on a busy 4 lane road and it moved into my lane at the last second.
I got out and the dog seemed alright..must have kind of bounced off.
I tried to get him but he wouldn't come near me..go figure.
I followed him into a heard and knocked on the door..woke the guy up at 7 a.m. ...wasn't his dog.
Ended up leaving the dog cause there wasn't anything I could do and he seemed fine.
Was even late for school and was so shaken up I called my wife about it.
But, yeah, he she have never been running around either.
BUT, I do understand things happen. Dogs definitely have a way of getting away if they want to bad enough.

gojo83 05-13-2007 12:06 PM

the thing is he was in eye sight maybe at most 5-10 feet in front. the other car was going so slow it wouldn't have taken anything to stop. I understand shit happens but the thing that got me the most mad is he just kept going. At least you stopped and tried to help.It will work out ok I know it will

Unless the dog got out on her own, shoulda been on a leash. Plain and simple, no excuse.

Nonetheless I hope she is ok and recovers, and by no mean do I condone the actions of the people in the car. That is most certainly unacceptable.
