Default Can't believe the weather this year

We have had crazy highs and lows. Was 70 degrees last week, but this week we have record lows wind chill sometime are terrible and a few places have several feet of snow today and expect to get a few more tomorrow. It'* 15 here now before the 25 to 30 mph winds. Every thing is closed, cars are stuck. Crazy for November.

From what understand this all began in mid/late Oct with a hurricane turned tropical storm forced it way too far NW, colliding with the Arctic air forcing the cold everywhere & now South!..
Its been darn cold here in the Pacific North West yet sunny.
Here is an interesting look at whats happening..
Record-Breaking November Arctic Cold, Round Two - weather.com
It is suppose to start raining here and this is a good thing. We have been under and air quality advisory from fires in the Rocky Mountains U.*. Air Quality and on top of that a Pavlof Volcano in Alaska has been erupting. So if its not the smoke how about some volcanic ash mixed in ?

Luckily most here have not noticed the bad air, but I'm cleaning the windshield twice a day right now!

I have lived here long enough to know I have to stay away from the highway, but they always close 90. Which is what all the people from elsewhere use so know there are still a hundred cars and big trucks stuck there in 5ft. They still haven't figured out how they are going to get those people out. And the drifts are like up to 10 to 15ft. And 5 more going to come for those in the south buffalo area for tonight again.

It'* weird for us even. Especially for November, I have not even put coats and stuff in the car. They said those people have been stuck there for almost 30hrs. in wind chills of like 2 degrees. They have found 5 people dead so far.

That lake effect snow ain't something you want to deal with. When I was stationed at Ft Drum, at the FAR eastern end of Lake Ontario, our lake effect was just as bad as Buffalo'*.

And I don't understand some people in that area. Do they not listen to the weather? Why doesn't NY just shut I90 down early and get people off of it before it gets too bad?
