Went to a dealership and checked out the G8!!
I got to check out the new G8 today. Man, that vehicle is literally LIGHT YEARS ahead of anything that Pontiac has ever made. The smell of the leather is on par with BMW and Mercedes...the fit and finish was outstanding, it oozes of European-type quality. In fact, the dash board is a shameless rip off of BMW 5-Series. It looks virtually identical! This one was the V6, and it was going for $29,000 fully loaded w/ leather and navigation. I was truly impressed.
I also drove a 2004 Infinity G35 and I was soooo let down :( . The interior of it was grossly outdated, plasticky, and generally very cheap looking. I must say, I was expecting to like the G35 but hated it. It DOES have a very silky and fast powertrain though.
The 05 STS4 (All-Wheel Drive) I originally set out to test drive today was in the shop getting new tires put on it...so I couldnt test drive the damn thing. It'* going for $23,994 with 45k on the clock. What do you guys realistically think I can get them down to? The guy said that price doesnt include tax, title and other fees either. I was hoping to keep it under 21k with tax and title included because I need to keep my payments below $400/month on a 72 month loan.

Considering my "base SE" has exactly the same interior as the top of the line SSEi, minus the DIC and HUD, thats not even remotely a valid point. And yes, to be honest...the G35 interior was considerably cheaper feeling and outdated looking to me than the Bonneville interior. It reminds me of a Ford Focus inside.
I wasn't comparing my Bonneville to anything mentioned in this post. But obviously, if I thought my Bonneville was so great...I wouldn't be looking for a new car

A friend of mine just got a G8 GT, one of the first few hundred of them. Pretty impressive.
