Consider this your restraining order. My mother has one just like that. She was in the process of restoring it when some medical issues came up and she had to spend the money elsewhere. She told me I'll get it someday, most likely when she dies.

i like the monte'*, but just the ss. i dont like the chrome nonsense all over the other ones. if i had one it would be lowered about 3in, and put a big engine. i remember there was a guy in school with one just like that one mouse posted, the ss'* had the ho 305, but it was only just faster than my firebird when it had the 2.8

I love the Grand National. Showed your posted pic to my Wife, she said it looks like something the Blues Brothers would show up in. LOL

i love those too. but you never saw them around, in person back then. i grew up in the country, all the cool cars you would see would be older muscle cars. i think the GN was a expensive car

I still see quite a few GNs driving around here. My mother had a T-top version she bought new. Too bad she didn't hang on to it.

That white Monte with the Iroc rims is BA.

My Monte SS has in it: 350 bored .30 over, mid-rise intake, medium cam, port/polish, blueprinted, etc. I think it'* good for about 400 HP if I remember right. The factory 305 had over 300k on it and was starting to get weak. It was still getting 20mpg though. The new 350 doesn't even get 10. It'* a beast.

The body and interior need to be restored though. My mom bought it with a salvage title in the 90s. It'* gotta GN frame underneath it, and a new front clip that was put on then. Now the body work that was done then is finally starting to show it'* age and other things are starting to go bad. So when I get I plan on doing a frame-off restoration and making it a show car.
