Here she is. Nothing pretty but for $300 bucks I love it.

Wow. For a $300 car, that IS a beauty queen.

I have heard that those things are wicked easy to work on, and last forever. Not the most inspiring cars in the world, but excellent cheap transportation.

Find a donor AWD 6000, and do a swap. ;)

The DUKE!

Brian.. that little motor right there is sturdier than the 3.8L IMO. You'll enjoy that little puppy. Not fast..not supieror to much, it'll run forever though.

I had a 91 GA with one of those.. I sold it at 190K and my buddy sold it at over 200K to another friend... 3 years later it was still cruising the highways.

tallbump 08-22-2007 07:23 AM

Hmmmm...with all of these good comments on the motor, I may just have to look into getting the body work done. Mainly just eliminating some surface rust and grinding down some areas were the previous work done was a bit sloppy.
Then, a new paint job and she'll be good as new.

BillBoost37 08-22-2007 07:31 AM

Hang in there Tex... slow down. first off..it'll need something else like a tune up etc.

tallbump 08-22-2007 07:38 AM

Well, my father-in-law has worked on it for the past 6 years. Regular maintenance Oil change every 3000 with synthetic.
Actually runs quieter than my Bonnie did. He said the plugs and wires are pretty new too.
Not sure what else to check, still researching the motor.
