Default What would you do??

So my gf'* dad backed into my GTP Coupe and ruined the fender and bumper, and damaged the front wheel and door. He proceeded to blame me based on the way I parked. He didn't say he was sorry, and my car is effed up. I started to fix it myself, and when I asked for some money, he said it was partly my fault.

So I did doughnuts in his front yard with the Z28

And his wife is giving me money to fix the GTP, and she said "He got what he deserved."

My gf said I was an *******. LOL I'll post pics later.

I personally, after his reaction, would have said "Fine, we'll see what the insurance company has to say about it"

donuts in his front yard would have been the last thing I did, but the dad is the a$$ hole for not taking blame for backing into another freaking car.

I do want to see pictures of what you did to his front yard.

That is EXACTLY what you should do. It doesn't matter necessarily how you were parked. It is his responsibility to be aware of objects around his vehicle and in the path his vehicle is going. Let the insurance handle it. Tell your girlfriend to stay out of it and shame on you for making things worse with the doughnuts in the yard! Act your age, not your shoe size

I'm satisfied with the results. I'm getting my parts and paint paid for, my stress was relieved. And my gf and her mom, who don't much care for him lately think it'* funny. He won't confront me about it, but he told my gf that he was sorry, but I was still wrong. The GTP looks awful though, sporting no fender or side skirt on the drivers side. but it will be fixed next week, along with the roof on the Z getting repainted (also black).

You're right though, it was a little immature, but it sure felt good.

From now on, be the bigger person and show that you are above stooping to such an immature level. It is harder to take the high road than it is to act like an immature kid. You were in the right but then you acted an ***.

Mom spoke again.

Chase..stupid move...Been on the low road myself. It does have an instant gratification to it....

The $700 paint job I had to buy the guy later made me think twice. Now it'* the high road and in the end..it still feels good.

Sorry Chase, but I have to go with the majority on this one. Not only did you do the wrong thing, you just proved to your g/f'* parents that you not someone they want their daughter to be with. Doing donuts on the lawn, no that was just not right. You had a chance to be a man and take the high road, instead you just did what every other messed up kid would have done!
