A show of hands please
I have been informed that my "style" of posting, or my attitude if you will, is less than desirable. I'm just wondering if I can get some feedback from all forum members and not just one. You see, I would like to correct myself if needed so I don't cause a lot of hardship with the forum. So please, let me know what I need to work on. I have added a poll so folks can vote anonymously if they desire to, but I would prefer to get actual feedback wether it be good or bad. This will help me understand what I specifically need to work on.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Well Cat, I've never had any problems with you. I've heard that maybe you've had some run-ins with others, though, so I would suggest a policy of general courtesy and politeness. Cruise through these forums a little, and you'll notice that most people are quite cordial toward each other. If some people make fun of another person, it'* usually in good fun and there are plenty of "smilies" accompanying the post. Insults to the purpose and spirit of the club are also frowned upon.
I have only seen one incident involving a cat and a bird on this site, and that'* all I have to base these comments on. You seem to be a decent fellow, but maybe you don't pick your words carefully before you type them. You definitely have technical knowledge that would be a welcome contribution to this club, and if you can be civil and respectful towards others, even when disagreeing with them, you'll have no problem fitting in and enjoying the community.
I know this is fairly vague, but I don't have much first-hand experience with you. I hope things work out for you.

The fact that it had to be brought up (off the forums) means there is a problem, and typically the Staff here doesnt really appreciate private matters such as this becoming public. That being said, if there was no problem with your post content you wouldnt be contacted, the very fact that you were contacted indicates a problem, regardless of how the rest of the forum thinks.
You have to realize the admins and mods of this site take this site seriously as requested by the Site owner, typically that respect is understood and when a member steps out of line, they are reminded. Take that reminder and remember it while participating at BonnevilleClub instead of making it worse then it has to be.
Some sites let things slide, BC does to an extent, a ban on this site is rare and most bans are lifted on members (some have been banned and allowed to return after some time)
Just understand the Staff has a job here and co-operation in appreciated.
I personally won't vote since I cannot follow majority of the threads here.
/my thoughts.

i had one issue with you, but i am over it. You have a wealth of knowledge that will be good for the site. I know I am guilty of it, but remember, we can all give wrong info every now and then, and we need to be able to admit it.

You know, often times when things like this pop up the root cause ends up being the limitations of expressing oneself on the internet.
Despite the help of interspersed emoticons it'* hard to capture the right amount of advice, concisiveness and humour all in one post and not make a career out of it. I've seen it time and time again when forum members finaly meet, any previous forum tensions are quickly put to rest.
I'm not sure if any specific examples were mentioned to you or not, but I've read some of your posts and perhaps at times you were more assertive than needed. Still, I'm sure you're here because you enjoy cars, have a lot of knowledge and enjoy participating in a forum. There'* a lot of people like that here already and, with that in mind, we sometimes see the curvature of the earth a little differently
I'm sure for the most part we're all cool cats (pun intended), sometimes though we need only to make our point politely, be a little patient and not focus too closely on each thread.
My advice...if I may Take your shoes off, relax, have a beer and stay awhile
Cheers,
