GPS for free / cheap?
Anyone know where I can get a good GPS system, including antenna, for cheap? I can't afford any of the big named ones, or even a new one -- just want to know where in the world I'm going, haha. Can't even find a cheap one on eBay.
I am the worst with directions.
Thanks!

Good luck. Not cheap, and not a common find. Or are you talking about a hand-held unit?
I found an after-market setup for in cars/trucks in a Bonneville at a salvage yard two years ago with the complete system in it. I used to install them in buses and knew what was all needed. I was told $100, but I didn't have the money at the time. Hmm. I wonder if it'* still there?!?!! I don't get to that yard very often as the guys there are ****** and most of the stuff is way over priced -was just quoted $50 for a cheap used battery (for my friends Ford Tempo).
If I get back to that yard i'll have to see if it'* still there -if they sold the trunk at least the antenna is gone, and who know what has been raided from the car/GPS system.

I have a cheap laptop that I use on the road and just picked up a GPS receiver on ebay for about 50$ U.*. Tried it out last night and it was pretty cool, I have yet to try it in the car. I also picked up Streets and Trips from Microsoft before getting the GPS and if all works well it is even supposed to talk to me for navigation.
