i'm going crazy right now with nothing to do... i'm tired of watching videos online and the simple flash games i can find. can anyone reccamend a good PC game that i can go out and buy? its been about 7 or so years sence i looked at computer games so i have NO clue whats worth it or whatever. Back in the day i was into the game "Sim Farm" and "Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator". I was never really good at the flight sim game though... can anyone offer some suggestions?

Fear was good, as was Halflife and Halflife2. These are first person shooters. I liked Doom3 as well.
For Sims type games 'The Sims' was and still is very popular as are several in the Tycoon series.
There are plenty of free RPG'* if your interested. I'm playing Goonzu and LandsofKes
currently. Goonzu uses anime style graphics and gameplay id decent. Landsofkes is a remake of one of the first RPG'* called Legends of Kesmai, Its old school graphics but can be very addicting.

I've been playing Hellgate London now for a few months. It can be played online or off.
Online play doesn't require a subscription.

Yes the Orange Box, which contains several Half-life games, is an incredible deal, especially when you consider there are countless free mods that you can add to the game for endless playability. Gmod 9 is one such great mod. You will need a decent video card though.
