We started our trip from Sacramento via the AMTrack stayed in a 1,200 sq. ft. penthouse at the Peppermill. It was beautiful, the tub was big enough for four, the marble bar was lighted from underneath, three 52" Sony TV'* and a 32" in the master bath, the sunsets were spectacular but didn't have my camera out in time, the paintings were real not prints. Came home Friday the 4th through the storm, they put a snowplow train in front of our train at Truckee to get over the summit. It was slow going and the snow stuck to the train windows so you really couldn't see much. Which is probably for the best since the wind was gusting over 100mph. If you get a chance stay in the penthouse.
