3800 list?
so im looking to purchase a cheap 3800-powered car. a new toy. i wonder if the resident experts would be so kind as to chime in with a comprehensive list of which cars came with the 3800 series 1, 3800 series 2, and the 3800 series 3. option for sc would be nice, but im not going to ask for it.

other than that any big GM car probably came with a 3800 at least as an option. whatever you like is what I would get. I like GPs, sometimes you can find them in good shape and not abused and drivin by a 90 year old lady but it is a lot harder than finding a bonnie like that.
A regal GS is the perfect car...often they are drivin by old people and are taken care of and even with that are CHEAPER than GTPs...I'D try to find one of those make sure it has been taken care of.

There were a few A bodies that could have been had with a 3800 as an option... These are few and far between... And yes the older A bodies did have the option of the 3.8...
Most all of the H and C bodies were 3800 powered through the years 88+... A few of the C bodies were caddies and had their V8 Engine( Not that great in my eyes )..
Then we have the odd and confusing W bodies... The Regals could have had an L27 3800 as early as 90-91.. The GP'* didn't have them untill 97.. Also the Minivans from 92-95 could be had with the 3800 and 4T60-E... The Retta( spelling ) and the Trofeo / Tornado, the Rivera... The list goes on.. But keep in mind that 1991 was the first year for the 4T60-E to be used in production.. So most all of the 3800'* 91 and under will have the 4T60(THM440T4)... There were a few in 91 that had the 4T60-E such as the Park Avenue.. So its all in what you are looking for I guess.. Many options

very good car cheap(sort of 40 bucks to fill the tank)
cost me 4,500 for mine and it had 105,000 miles on it
you can beat the crap out of it all day and it will keep taking more and more punishment
