Default 2-3 months for a title transfer?

I transfered the title on the Park Ave today.. cost me $100. Anywho, the lady told me it would take approx. 2-3 months to receive the title! I plan on selling this beast before then.. how do you sell a car with no title?

2-3 months is a long time. IIRC though it took the CT DMV at least 6-8 weeks to give me mine for the 94.

I don't think you can sell a car without one. IDK know about other states, but if you want to register a car you need the title. So the buyer will need one.

2-3 months sounds too long. Besides, in MN can't you pay something like $25 and get a new title right away?

wth does it take 2-3 months to receive a title?

Personally i wouldn't buy a vehicle from someone w/out seeing a title unless i really knew the person.

There'* no way to get it quicker?

she said they dont do that at their office. :?

she said I could get a written piece of paper that mocks the title to bring in, but it sounded fishy, especially for a new buyer to go thru.

It takes that long for a title transfer in MN?

Here in Ohio, the title is notarized by the seller, then the buyer takes it to the title office, they put your info in the computer, print out the new title, and you are done, all within 5-10 minutes.

Sounds like a awful long time to get a title IMO.

Then go to another office

I think my last title they said it would take forever, and it was in my mailbox within 2 weeks or less (something like that).
