external sound card needed
Hey guys, i need some advice here.
I need to find an external sound card that will work with Vista. I would like to get one that has multiple outputs on it (so i can assign different signals to different outputs). The one i found and liked the most, Gigaport AG, is not compatable with Vista. any suggestions? |
See if this fits what you want/need. The picture won't come up here at work, so I don't know if it's the one I have and no longer need

This is what i would like to get, but i can't becuase its not compatible with Vista. |
I suppose it would have helped if I had put the link in my last post...
www.soundblaster.com/products/extigy/ But, it looks like it may be way too low tech for what you're after... |
I can't get that pic to load either... maybe is their problem...
I made some phone calls and this one doesn't look too bad, not as many outputs but it should sound a heck of a lot better. and i guess M-Audio is some decient stuff. http://www.musikland-online.de/pix/o...-Interface.jpg |
Did you read the stats on the one I posted? I seriously have one sitting ext to my desk gathering dust. It's got as lot more in's and out's than that one. I'm sure I could cut you a better deal than brand new.
If you didn't like it, that's cool too. I got lots of random parts sitting around that The Missus still thinks she can make me throw away, so what's one more... ;) |
I took a closer look at that one and it doesn't look too bad actually (got to admit, i was at work and just breezed over it quickly).
I guess my question is would I be able to hook it up to just play Sterio and not 5.1? If so, what would you want for it? I |
Sad part is, all I ever used it for was stereo. I thought that upgrading my sound card, but not speakers, would improve the sound...
I could probably let it go for 20-30 bucks. No final price right this second until I can get home and make sure I cand find the remote and everything. We can bicker in PM if you're interested. |
You know, I think I'm going to go with the M-Audio one... I was comparing the specks and although your sound blaster card is really nice (and a good deal at $20 or $30) I think that the M-Audio card might better suit my needs as a DJ.
BUT If you find all the parts to it and have the drivers/software and whatnot PM me and let me know. I might still be interested anyway. I want to collect some "junk" on my desk here before i have a wife to try and throw it away ;) |
