Default Yet Another Loss!

The call came just after 4pm today. It was my father telling me that my Grandmother passed away at approx 3:45pm today. She fell ill at the end of July and was in the hospital since.

After many tests the doctors found that she had a very fast growing tumour that was cancerous and terminal. They gave her 2 months at first then changed to 2 weeks. Well yesterday morning she was in terrible pain, so they removed the tube ( to drain fluid from her stomach) and also removed the I.V. ( her body was rejecting it), and placed her on a Morphine drip.

We all knew it was just a matter of time till it happened. The bad part about this is that I work out of town evry week and home on weekends and am about 6-7 hours from home.

I will post a pic of her once I get to my own computer at home.

I hope I was not too graphic with the explanation, but I needed to show how much she suffered and now she is no longer suffering.

My greatest condolences, sir. Good to hear that she is no longer suffering - but now that she'* gone, I can only assume that the feeling of loss is very great.

That same think happened to a very close friend of mine 6 months ago, Mike. It was such a relief for the friends and family when the suffering was gone.

You have my sympathies (and Lilpooky'* when she reads up this weekend), but at the same time, never forget that this was a release for her.

Here is a pic that I was able to get onto my laptop and upload to my server. The way I look at it, she was 80 years old and still took care of herself and was in her own appartment, no nursing home.

I sorry to hear of your loss. Renne was telling me a little bit about her while we were up a couple of weeks ago. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

My Grandmother died last week too.
It was one week before her 101st Birthday. She lived a long life and was home the whole time. Peacefully in her sleep.

God rest their souls.

Mike, you and I have talked about our respective tradgedies for some time now. My heart goes out to you. Its wide open now for the memory of my father and your grandmother. All our support and love goes out to you bro.

The lineup at Heavens Gate got a bit more crowded. Godspeed Mrs Chezzi :(
