hmm glad i took the onstar module out of my car!! these bastards are getting to the point that none of it is worth it

Well, the Federal gub does own GM now, which in turn owns OnStar. Doesn't surprise me at all.

Looks like I'll be yanking all that **** out of my new truck too.

just pull out or unplug the module like i did. should be under the rear seat in that truck if not on the back wall

I'm not surprised that it happened either, I just wasn't really expecting it to happen yet. I'm glad that my car don't have it either, but my next one probably will. I will definitely be disabling it when I get it. My parents' 09 Impala does have it, and I told my mom earlier, and she didn't seem "real" concerned about it. She uses the hands-free phone a lot, so I'm not sure what they'll do, if they do anything.

Awesome.
Now, not only am I NOT going to turn my subscription on, for when I'm doing all this winter driving in the middle of nowhere, just in case anything happens....
But I am going to have to hack up the system I already have to keep big brother out of my passenger seat.
