Well, the Federal gub does own GM now, which in turn owns OnStar. Doesn't surprise me at all.
Looks like I'll be yanking all that **** out of my new truck too.

I'm not surprised that it happened either, I just wasn't really expecting it to happen yet. I'm glad that my car don't have it either, but my next one probably will. I will definitely be disabling it when I get it. My parents' 09 Impala does have it, and I told my mom earlier, and she didn't seem "real" concerned about it. She uses the hands-free phone a lot, so I'm not sure what they'll do, if they do anything.

Now, not only am I NOT going to turn my subscription on, for when I'm doing all this winter driving in the middle of nowhere, just in case anything happens....
