I want to get my front side windows tinted, I am aware that its illegal unless you go 4 inches down, which would just look stupid as hell. Does anyone have any experience (preferably from michigan) where police hace specifically pulled you over for tint? I always seem to have cops following me around and I see alot of people with tinted front windows so id like to know how much the tickets are if anyone has received one.

I have already had a cop question me on my rear tint and if i had it up front, he pulled me over for speeding and asked me, so im figuring if I just dont get pulled over I wont really have to worry too much about tint tickets? lol

Sarah do you smoke ciggarettes? or know somebody who does....as long as you can hold a pack against your window on the inside and read it on the outside your not to dark and should be alright IIRC its like like 20% is the lowest it may be 35% to make sure(if your doing it yourself) run to a tint shop and ask them or call them i cannot remember what one it is specifically

The law in NYS is 70% on the door windows and as much as you want on the back (which would be aesthetically and financially retarded). I have an ex police car, and I don't drive like a douche, so I hope I can get by with the tint I got with it (even though its now purple... more money to potentially spend)

nys sucks, the troopers are a pain.i was never bothered by city or county police. ive got five percent on the back three, and nothing on front two. on my old car i had the same on the back and twenty on the front and got a couple tickets for the front. one in Virginia. so i took just the front off and never got another ticket.

My friend gets tagged for his legal tints twice a year. I just wouldn't want to give the coppers anymore reason to pull me over.

yea i probably just wont do it.. the police around here are dicks and there have been alot of cops patrolling around lately, they are like flies on **** when it comes to my car and i dont even drive crazy, they just LOVE to follow me..
