Well replaced one vehicle, now for the next one.
Well I replaced our 2003 Odyssey a couple weeks ago with a 1999 Bonneville and that is going great. Since the Bonneville cost $4000 vs the $18,000 we sold our van for we are very happy. The fact that the Bonneville runs and drives like new helps as well. We managed to put $15,000 against our home equity on that deal.
So now I am going to replace the GMC provided I can find a car for $2000. I plan to sell the GMC for $5500-6000 and use the money for some toys around the yard. The vehicle I am going to look at tomorrow night is a 1993 Chevy Caprice with a 5.0L V8 for $2000. The car has 80,000 miles and has been garaged since new. Plus it is an original owner vehicle with no rust or oil leaks. I figure the Caprice will be a nice full frame car that won't mind doing some occassional trailer towing. Since I only drive about 5000 miles a year I am not worried about the 17/26 fuel mileage either.
Here is the style I am looking at tomorrow night.

You don't want the 5.0 though...They leak like hell after a while.......Try to find a 9C1 Caprice...

I'll tell ya, if you can find a Roadmaster wagon, you'll never want for a car to have fun with. It'* the same motor as the Impala SS, just with a less agressive tune on the computer. So any and all aftermarket for the Impala works for the Roadmaster, plus the weight distribution is way better with the wagon.
