Stupid digital camera
How can I take a picture of my interior lights in the dark when there'* a damn flash? I tried to cover it, but the picture turns out really badly. Any suggestions?

chances are that your camera will adjust the exposure speed with you flash turned off, but you still have to hold the camera really steady. the flash off icon looks like this :

What kind of digicam do you have? On mine I have a feature called "Bulb exposure". The shutter remains open as long as you hold the shutter button down and closes when you release it. Useful for the long exposures required for night scenes. Been thinking about taking a couple of my red lit panel with no flash.

Took a couple of pics of my dash last night with no flash. The only available light was from the overhead light in the garage. Exposure time: 1 sec. at f/5.6.
