dorm life BLOWS
 

well all i have been living here on campus for the last couple of days. and my room mate droped his classes before they started so i am stuck in the dorm room BY MY SELF.
how ever the girls on campus are unbelievable. and there is someone that lives in my dorm driving a hmmm 96-97-98 black ssei plates from illinois. but eather way im making life what i can right now and studying and showing up to every class. (the classes i had at the other campus where alot better.) but still its a totaly diff life then im usta. oh an pj i tryed the prop the door open thing and well no that dont work. i think since you are a female that would work but....... but eather way have a good one everyone.

it only took me 4 days to get my freaking puter on the net here. update this update that install this unistall that. i was so freaking pi55ed off. install mcafee uninstall mcafee install...... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr but hey i got it back up and running it only took a format and windows disk but......

oh ya and 4700 posts in almost 6 days...... wow i have alot to read. ya right ive done enought reading in the last few days........

give it more than a week ;)

dont stay in your dorm all the time... go meet all the others with their door open...

its840 place a card on the black bonnie (even if its home made) put your sign in name on it.
say something about the club. they may be a freshman as well.
and maybe he/she will join. and you can take a new friendship from there.

see i live in what is called on campus the "Hilton" of the dorm rooms. i just wanted my own bathroom. didnt know i was gonna be stuck with all the preppy kids. so to speek. no one leaves there door open. trust i have looked. and if it wasnt snowing i would walk the campus. however my teacher and i have been eamiling back and forth, and she looks GREAT. and im older then she is...... it sucks being a 25 yr old first sem freshman

i'm suprised people dont leave the door open...ours is always open. (forks make the best door props, slide the door over it, holds it open, slide it back and it can close.)

give it some time.

I would love no roomie...more space for me and my projects :lol:

Just hang in there. You need to put yourself out there and you will meet people. You can't expect people to knock on your door. I think it would be great to have a room to yourself but I've never done the dorm thing so I don't know.

Dorm life gets better, I shared a bathroom with 20 other guys my first year and slept 2 feet from my roommate, yet somehow managed to get used to it and even enjoy it to some extent. I found that the best way to make friends and get out of the room was to join a club. The friends I made in my school's car club are some of the best anyone could ask for.

Or, you can always exploit the fact that your over 21. ;)

Do they have an auto club? If so, then join up cause right then and there you'll have something in common with everyone there. The rest will just take it's course.
Course this works will other interests, just that was the first I thought of. :D

Yeah, give it more then a week. I don't think I really even started liking any part of this until a couple months in. And the door thing, I'm not sure why it worked for me, since most of the people I met were female.

how about we have a bon fest in your dorm. im sure we'll draw some attention to your dorm. I know all we need is a few NE'rs to relly get things moving

Don't take dorm life forgranted.


On average, it takes me one and a half to two hours to commute each way to school on public transit, depending on if/where I can get dropped off and picked up - daily.

If I start class late (not this term), I go downtown (takes 1hr) to Ryerson University to hang out with the g/f. I then leave and take two hours to get to school (subways are fast).

The lengths I go to.......... but it's all worth it :D

Man, most people I know around here would KILL for a single room (no roommate). You should be glad you don't have someone else's annoying habits to deal with. ;) And your own bathroom? Holy cow, that's an effeciency apartment you've got!!

As suggested, just get involved in some activities outside the building and you'll find others to hang out with. It's probably better you're on a preppy floor... less likely the police will get called b/c of some drunk idiot and you'll end up in the middle of it. :roll:

ya im starting to like it. and yes the door open thing is working i have met a few ppl. oh btw im at kent state university. um i stay in what the kids on campus call the hilton of the dorm rooms, or where the preppy kids live. either way i love the fact that i have my own bathroom but for what im paying to live here for 4 months it should have a maid that comes in a cleans too. but ya ive been meeting a few girls and guys here on campus. guys here are all about drinkin beer and playing halo but the girls just wanta hang out and talk, wtf is that???? lets go do something ya know!!!! but eather way if anyone wants to stop by feel free to do so. but eather way im gonna go to sleep i have a math test at 8 in the morn and its 1230 now..... shit then after that i have to do a short speech at about 930 then im done for the day!!!! the speech part wont kill me im usta talking to a large group of ppl. but later all.
