Any one done any missionary work?
I have been feeling lead to investigate and possibly go to Kenya. Anyone ever been to Nirobi or Mathare?
I think if it happens it will only happen with alot of prayer and only when I finish school. I have been preparing myself by learning about the culture and studying the language. I have also been doing the same for chinese. Anyone been to China??
Who do we have that are Bible readers out there? What are your beliefs and how long have you known?
Anyone interested in a study group? I have the background. I can head it off. It doesnt neccisarily have to be here. I love the club but it might not be the right place to do it.
Let me know.

Doing missionary work is a big commitment. But going to Africa with all the problems they have down there scares me a bit. You must be darn brave to want to go down there. If you do God Bless and be careful down there.
Im a Catholic but I dont read the bible like I should.

I am a Youth and Adult Counselor at my church (Christian Non Denominational). Many years ago I did missionary work in Mexico in a very poor neighborhood infested with drug addicts and prostitutes. I have friends and know some people that have done missionary work in Kenya and Nairobi. I have been to many of those countries on business, including Ethiopia. There wil be many challenges since it will be a complete different world for you. Nevertheless, it will give you a new awareness and appreciation for what you have and you wil see how blessed you are.
