Do you want to know what is ironic?...Got the job!!!

Yesturday, I got a call at home, while i was at work from a place called the Gear Centre. They had seen my resume online. This place sepcializes in Transmissions, drivelines, and steering components. They are looking for people to work for them, as parts runnings, labourers that kinda thing, and there is room for advancement and apprentiships. Holy crap LOL, if I get on there, tranny goes..hello staff discount.
SWEET
And no I only had to travel the 180 miles for the interview..this place is like 5 minutes from my house!

SSEimatt93 08-25-2005 01:33 PM

okay, well, i have an interview to go to with them. I have to drive the bonneville 180 miles round trip...ugh.. gas is like 4.50/gallon...and i hope my tranny makes it.

Echo SSEI 08-25-2005 02:43 PM

Matt, that IS sweeeeeeeeet!

Good luck! I am assuming you won't be driving 180 miles round trip to work, just the interview. If it for work, too, then you will probably NEED the employee discount a lot sooner

And, Haro good luck with getting...............well,..................you know ;) hehe

PontiacDad 08-25-2005 03:40 PM

Good luck with the jobb interview Matt.

Just be yourself and dont mention your troubles only your strengths, you'll do fine.

willwren 08-25-2005 07:50 PM

Matt, if you need personal references, let me know. I've done this for a Moderator before, and it landed the job (or at least clinched the deal).

You're a perfect fit for a growth opportunity like that.

SSEimatt93 08-25-2005 08:19 PM

Well I got the job, the bonneville did just fine on the road today, the interview was about 45 minutes went well, pays me about 950 dollars more a month! I will be a parts counter person, but there is also all kinds of training appretice programs available if I want to.
Excellent, finally, something automotive related
Thanks for the offer Bill, I appriciate it!

willwren 08-25-2005 08:22 PM

Echo SSEI 08-25-2005 08:30 PM
