Do you have Liquor Stores in your town?
a shitload of em :D
all private owned

private stores known as package stores = full license open till 11:00 pm
supermarkets(not all) = beer and wine
convenience stores (not all) = usually just beer

7 days a week

found on the web:

2,555 retail store liquor licenses in Massachusetts
85% of retail liquor licenses in Massachusetts controlled by package stores
34 states allow some form of wine sales in supermarkets

Here they are privately owned and some even have drive through windows.
I would be surprised to find anywhere else that does this: At Ed Walker's Drive-In on Towson Avenue you can still get a beer served to you in your car with your food. It used to be commonplace around here way back when, but the law was changed several years back. Ed Walker's was "grandfathered in" because they were doing it that way before the law was passed and he claimed it would hurt his business.

Many counties in Tennessee are still "Dry" Beer and wine coolers are only sold in stores and gas stations. My wine I have to buy at a premium price at liquor stores only. :x No sales on Sunday unless in a licensed bar/restaurant! It sucks! :wtf: I soooo miss Florida!

WV - private, sell until 10pm, no Sunday/holiday liquor and beer/wine after 1pm. Odd mix of who sells it and where. I think liquor licenses have an odd regulatory procedure where city, county and state have to approve. But by God there's a Hot Spot (gambling shop) on everhy other corner!

I miss Michigan where you could get a good strong shot of Smirnoff in the Catholic church in Okemos just before Sunday Mass... ;) Remember getting Absolut in Okemos Meijer at 1 am or so one morning.

I have none in my town that I know of. It's all sold at the grocery stores. Hy-Vee carries a very wide selection. Gas stations usually carry beer.

And the glory of living 10 minutes from New Hampshire is you get the state liquor stores, supermarkets for beer and wine, convience stores for beer and wine... all way cheaper than Mass ;)

We live in a very small town of 3000 that was dry till last year. Finally enough younger familys migrated to town and it past the last vote. Kinda funny, they just opened up the first liquor store in the old hardware store that couldn't make it. Waiting for a bar to open up.

No grocery stores can sell liquor up here, only separate stores.
