Frankly speaking, I'm surprised so many here are DIC-less.

To be sure, the DIC has its good points. Personally, I can't point to the exact moment I discovered the myriad options a DIC offers, but admittedly have grown accustomed to its usefulness over the years.

My advice, if you're out on the road and glance down to find no DIC, is to do everything you can to get one. I expect you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was to find that a DIC offers it'* own rewards, such as being indispensable for improving your bore and stroke.

that '13 Chevy spark had a huge fully functional DIC for how small it was
