Default How much is it worth to you?

How much would you pay per month for this place?

Me, I feel I'd chip in $2 a month. It is easily worth that for me.

Would you be willing to pay for it to get rid of the ads?

Sure the ads dont bother me really but it is cooler without them for sure. I am the one to turn the TV off during commericals, have serious popup blockers and run a half dozen adware/spyware programs but hey it just reminds me of CGP or Automotive forums.com

Therefore I say everbody who is here should chip in a few bucks, even if it is only $2 a month, that is $24 a year, plenty to run the server if we get just 1/2 the people who purchased shirts from haro.

I think of it as "throwing in gas money" instead of donations.

What do you think?

I don't see what'* so annoying about the ads. It'* not like they take up much space or have any offensive pictures, if they annoy you don't click on them

Unless Jeff makes this a pay site to belong, It wont entirely help by making donations like he mentioned.

After conferring with people who run similar sites, I've come to the conclusion that donations alone won't come anywhere near covering expenses.
This decision was probably difficult for Jeff as well to make, but a business decision at that to help maintain what we all love and have come to know as the Bonnevillelcub

Like Ive said, I didnt even notice the ads until the postssssssssss about them.

Please dont take me the wrong way, but I just had to get that out. A decision was made for the "Best" interest of the club and it dont matter to me if there are ads up there. Sometimes you gotta do whatchay gotta do.

Think of how many other sites you may visit that have some type of ad or ad'* that are all over the screen, but you like it and go back. This is nothing.

This is different than other forums, this is more helpful than any forum I have ever been a part of. People here bend over backwards to help a fellow member out, that is why I did the poll, to see how much would actually be generated vs the cost of the server.

for a good servr to do what we need PLUES it should only be around $400 or so... a year.

so say we get ummm like even 1000 members to chip is $2 for a WHOLE year its $2,000

i Think $2,000 is WAY!!! more then is needed to run this place!!!

wasnt good planning IMO. I know this was a business thing, but it could have been talked over with the club to see if donations would cover it.
