Oh this just scratchin PG-13...so, ya...btw some good cars, bad cars, nice rice, bad rice, and lots of girls....man, one year I want at least 5 nice Bonnies to participate in this event.

If the Corolla club can be there :roll: so can Bonnevilleclub 8) I thinkin about entering my dads Jetta next year, if he would drop it an inch 8)

I bet those chix cost as much an hour as the a NOS these cars use in an hour trying to beat out real american muscle..

Mach..yours qualifies, and even bone stock Bonnevilles can enter...gotta have some stuff done, but I can list a few that on this Club that can enter no sweat.

After seeing my sig pic i don't see how anyone could say i couldn't come? Should i do those blackouts like I photoshopped? All I'd need is some Nightshades... would you reccomend clear coating them as well?

Well here is what i read on another forum about Darknights, looks like the MTO and OPP are nailing evrybody for anything, ( MTO= Ministry of Transportation, OPP= Ontario Provincial Police"


These cops are getting pretty stupid, I have never heard of a law against CAI.

it said no air box, maybe the didn't like the fact the filter was out in the open? Wtf is this though.. $1800, damn cops musta had some rice escape in a chase earler...

Did you drive there in your car, or tag along in a TAC car? I bet you'd never get pulled over that night of the show if you were in your bonne, no matter how fast you were going. They want the kids, not the grannies who are getting groceries...

I had to drive Pauls car home, cuz he had to drive another friends car home, well I was kinda worried because I didn't drive up there, Kristi did, so I didn't have my licence on me, I was worried to say the least, they would have nailed me to the wall. :?

I always have my license on me nowadays. And cops here nail you to the wall like nobodies business. A kid i know who just graduated last month got pulled over last year doing 5 over going down a HUGE hill in town.... We have 2x the cops on patrol for our population then is the average. It's sick out there... And you always see atleast 3 coming home after 10 late at night..

I've heard of someoen being busted for the CAI before...hence why mine is in an airbox :wink: IT was a girl with a civic hehehhaha :lol:

Yes the cops has been gettin stupid again.. they started this last summer too.. but never this bad.. think they all been having the wrong end of the KnifeStick lately and is cranky as sh!t

Yeah, but if a viper had a race wing on it, it looks nice, and the wing actually does something on that car!! Like the GTS-R Wing, can't complain with that. Imagine a Wing on a RWD car that goes over 170! What an idea... I like the old viper much more then the new ones, they just aren't curvy like the old style.

Those HD 150,s have some serious Balls! I saw one at school last year, and it just FLEW down the road. And they come with a SC and 20" chromes stock from the factory.

The fart can that's changing colors.. Seen some of the ones that light up? They haveabout an inch thick outside the pip full of LEDS and such. I like how they have LED's for everything, even valve caps...

I dunno, some of those girls musta been from the bargin bin. . .

That accord with the wing woulda looked sharp without that damn wing! Tastless people I say!

I'm worrying about that when I get my CAI. I don't want to be rejected when I'm having my car inspected.

Just make sure you have it in an airbox, which is also the best setup. If it's sheilded from the engine compartment that will help a lot with the temp. I think this is why the guy got ticketed.

Just read it in the paper that they were waiting at the DKN show and it they've handed out 1877 tickets :shock: compared to last year of only 600 and change.. you tell me that they're not just bogus tickets now they're handing out to everyone.. they've stopped over 1600 vehicles ( now you have more tickets issued than cars stopped? ) and 200 something for driving infractions ( reckless driving, and such )

From what I read in the newspaper they're also giving tickets for stereo too loud and mufflers exhaust system that is also too loud ( yea ok.. those fart cans can get loud I agree and annoying... but at what decibals are they sayin it's illegal? And what did they even use to gauge that by?? I"m sure they didn't bringa decibal reader )

On another note.. I briefly glanced through a Canadian Magazine of Sport Compact Cars, and they feature a a Police P.A.C.E.R. Civic Sir ( P.A.C.E.R. = Police And Community Educating Racers ) done up with mods that they claim is all legal and what is illegal.. unfortunetly I didn't have time to go through all the details.. but I"m sure they have a CAI in there :? ( guess only cops can have them...and no one else )

I stood beside the PACER SIR while i was there, its pretty hopped up thats for sure, if you take off the sirens, it'd get stopped. Its amazing how they take advantage of an event such as this to nail you to the floor. At the same time, why not go around every Timmy's parking lot demand to see under the hood or measure the level of sound that come out their subs or fart cans.

WTF.. isn't that like pushin ppl back out to street race and such since the only difference is the cops will have to catch them first on the street whereas the legal venues.. they are there waiting for you? ( this also happened at a car meet at a local Drag Strip that I read on another forum )

So CAI's are illegal?????? That's absurd. What for? Are they illegal in Minnesota??? Man, like what's it gonna do if it's not in a box -is it gonna bite you? Or maybe it'll piss on your shoes officer!!!!
But seriously why in the hell are cold-ari intakes illegal. I see them all over the place, and I don't believe that K&N cone filter boxes (or boxes of any make of CAI's) say anything about being illegal in certain states or providences.
Anyhow, that's as sad case -sounds like we need to put a little tighter noose around the laws reach.

I think it might have to do with the filter being unprotected, and possible to damage? Maybe cops just don't like you having an edge? But then everything thats a mod is an edge...

I heard someone got a ticket for a CAI cause 1. It's not OEM 2. There was no Vacuum line and/or the lil sensor was removed and yadda yadda yadda..

Think they just want a money grab, and meet their quota.. and they're just jealous. Mind you I guess it doesn't matter to them to drive the Sh!it out of Tax payers Caprice/ Crowns/ Impalas we provided for them hoppin curbs and sh!t.

I even had a friend who got a ticket for doing an Illegal U-Turn ( but that was thrown out of court cause the cop didn't even show up ).. my buddy went into someones drive way.. backed out.. and went the other way.. where the hell is that illegal and unsafe?? needless to say it was STILL inconvinience to loose a days pay just to sit in court and find out the case is thrown out.
