Dan !!!!!
Before I start ordering all these brakes pieces and parts, Does RockAuto ship UPS? Cause FedEx dont deliver to thes parts. Lamers.......
I think all I got from RA came UPS
They have way to many choices. Some dont say anything extra, some say for trucks with rear antilock, some even say RH and LH. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Where the heck is cheap and fits all??? LOL
Look it up at autozone, you should be able to get numbers and those might word at RA. You can also Email them. I've found them to reply real fast.
Bigger problem than that, Ram 3500 builds are so many different variations. I need the 10,500 Lb rotors, but I dont know if it's 4 wheel antilock or two wheel antilock and for whatever reason, the rotors are different. My memory just doesnt go back that far, everything is original, and I dont even want to peek at calipers yet. I found a Dodge corporate webpage to request build by VIN number. I hope they kept back that far.
I'd probably go look up the rpo codes on the Intynet thingee and then go see if the truck has the code thingee for them 4 round stoppy things. :nutkick:
Todd made me say it |
You guys. I'm going to wear my eyes out rolling them so much.
Sounded like Todd........:D Code sheet was glued to underneath the hood, RIGHT over the radiator. The only thing left legible is the secondary paint code.
lol if all else fails... most of the 94+ will work on my computer... gm/dodge dealership... pm vin # if you cant figure it out and ill see what I can do
The last order I received from RA came FED EX, on Saturday.
I found the box on the garage floor midday....it was like new parts from heaven. |

I always like that. My best delivery was my headers. They guy came walking threw a clowd of seafoam smoke carrying the box. Like something from heaven.
TL says they show 4 wheel antilock, I should have figured being the SLT trim model. Got to have velour seats, air conditioning, and nice stereo in yer pickup. Wouldnt ya know those brakes are the most expensive........
Thanks TL, your a lifesaver. At least a nervous breakdown saver. I owe you a couple keep out of forum jail free cards. :2thumbup: Go ahead give Todd a whack! :lmaoBesides he's kinda used to it right now...... New Mods get no mercy........... |
Dan, do you have a current rockauto discount code for when I get this monster list figured out?
I'm telling you guys..my Piles are itching really bad right now!
And my fingers are really starting to smell bad from scratching there. Do you guys have a good cream that works well on these? |

I didn't do it No body saw me do it You can't prove nothing;) Hay..by the way...I thought this was a 'Burn' Dan thread with the "Dan!!!" in the name Or can we start one...he he he Oh and John it's good to here your fixen your truck all up:) |
Just got done with the order, Phew!!! New rotors/calipers/pads/brake drums/shoes/ and installation kits. $702.17
BTW, Thanks for the discount code Todd, saved me $30 on the order. TL, change my statement to Dan since he didnt respond to my asking for a discount code and had to go dig Todd's thread about one up......... The only bummer was it's coming from 3 separate locations and they cant control who ships from each. So anything FedEx, I have to run to Binghamton to pick up. They get lost up here. When I get it all together my bud George is going to let me use his repair shop with lifts for a Sunday to get 'er done and then set the toe and go for me. Which is a good thing, it's snowing like a big dog outside. Again. |
