Crap, I can't sleep - Update, Adults only

And its my own damn fault. You see when I see a movie thats based on a true story I research it. Well I did research on the Amityville horror, which is based from the DeFeo Murders in Amityville NY, in the Defeo home on 112 ocean ave. I think the crime scene photos did me in :puke: . I have to stop researching true horror movies!!!

Wow..you made me curious so I just went and read some articles about the house and DeFeo murders (luckily I didn't come across the crime scene pics you mentioned). I avoided the movie for years...and when I finally saw it I thought it was lame, so I didn't pay much attention to what the "true story" was...but it's really interesting...especially to me because I was born in January 1974 and my poor, unsuspecting parents named me Amity (it actually means friendship). I get joked with about it so much that when I'm introduced to someone who clearly doesn't understand wtf my name is the first time around I just say "It's Amity...you know...as in "Ville Horror"...

The real story, are you sure?...... here goes. Ronald DeFeo Killed his whole family , his father Ronold Sr., Mother Louis, sisters Allison and Dawn, and Brothers Mark and john. Shot them all in the family home in Amityville. Allison was found with powder Burns on her eyes, apparently she woke up and was looking down the barrel of the shotgun. Ronold Claimed many stories from he didn't do it to the voices in the house told him to. One year after the murder a family, George and Kathy Lutz moved in. There story is the one told in the Amityville horror movie (1979). They had alot of wierd and supernatural events happen to them in the house, as you can see in the movies. After 28 Days they abandoned the house due to the events. There a couple parts in the movie that aren't true, such as when Mrs. Luzt has the dreams that she is mrs louis defeo and she says she was shot in the head, when actually Mrs. DeFeo was not shot in the head, she was shot in the upper chest area. The story of the Lutzs has since been called a hoax, but supernatural experts, such as the Warrens, claim there is something wrong with that house.

Pictures (dont worry, no cruesome ones)
Heres the house at the murder schene, notice the house is exactly like the one in the movie, except the one in the movie is white. This actual defeo house was not used in the movies, once from new jersey was.

Heres the real Lutz's

Heres a picture of the house as it is today. The owners replaced the famouse pie shaped windows and changed the address from 112 ocean ave to I think 108 to disguise the house from tourist.

heres the cover of the movie, the house used in the movie looks slightly different, mostly the location of the chimney on the exterior of the house

Heres some pictures from the warrens investigation of the house
The Lutz owned the house still when the investigation took place
first is a picture of the DeFeos Study, still had some of the DeFeos furnature

Heres Mrs. Warren sitting on the stairs after having supernatural experience up stairs

Heres another one of the real amityville house

Thats all I have without making everyone lose there lunch. One final note, the warrens claimed that the Lutz children when they lived in the house, were sleeping on the beds that the defeo children were murdered in.

Your name is Amity, you were born in 74, damn thats freaky, also I wouldn't get to involved in researching this, what you'll find will keep you up, as it did me. Those crime scene photos are , well, blah

Also I really like that house, if I had money I build the exact same one, not cause I am morbid or anything, I just really like the design, expecially those pie shaped windows
